The fifth IGJC-2022 Webinar was a success. Many bright ideas and questions were raised from the Gap Junction Community. This time, we had the pleasure of listening to Professor Steve L. Reichow from Portland State University who described the fascinating structure of Connexin 46/50. He was followed by two promising young researchers: Amanda Guitán from the CellCOM group (INIBIC, A Coruña) who introduced us to novel strategies based on small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) to overcome drug resistance in BRAF-driven tumors, and Dr. Kevin J Pridham from the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginial Tech (USA), who presented new data on the PI3K-Cx43 signalling pathway and discussed the use of exosomes as a peptide delivery system to fight Glioblastoma. The webinar was chaired by María Mayán (INIBIC). More than 110 people connected to the session via Zoom and some more via Youtube. Thanks to all the attendees. See you again soon in the next webinar scheduled for April 13.
