September 15, 2021
The first webinar after summer took place on September 15th 2021 and featured two speakers from our community. Chenju Yi, associate professor in The Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Shenzhen, China) elegantly presented their ongoing work investigating the role of astroglial connexins in Alzheimer’s disease. Her talk was followed by professor George R. Zoidl from the Department of Psychology of York University (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) whoprovided new insight towards the function of the Cx36-Nexus. The session was chaired by Arantxa Tabernero from the University of Salamanca.
More than 60 people connected to the session via Zoom, with a few more attending on Youtube. Many thanks to the speakers for their interesting presentations and, of course, to the attendees for joining us and making the IGJC webinars a success!
